Dog Adventure Requirements

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for every dog in our small adventure groups, all participating pups must meet the following requirements:

Health & Vaccinations

• Dogs must be in good health, with no contagious illnesses and free of internal or external parasites (fleas, ticks, worms, etc.).
• Dogs must be on regular parasite prevention.
• Proof of current Rabies, DAPP/DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations is required.
• A clear fecal test within the last 6 months is required (regular testing recommended).
• Additional vaccinations such as Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza are recommended.
   

Behavior

• Dogs must be friendly, social, and non-aggressive toward people and other dogs.
• All dogs must successfully complete a short temperament evaluation before joining group adventures.
   

Age & Spay/Neuter

• Most dogs are eligible to join Bark & Ride once they are 9 months or older. They must be spayed or neutered, and fully vaccinated.
• In some cases, we may consider dogs 6 months and up based on behavior, socialization, maturity, and overall group fit.
   

Registration

• Owners must complete the registration form and sign the service waiver before their dog’s first trip.

Safety Gear

• Dogs must wear a harness with a back attachment so they can be safely buckled in during transport.
• Pinch, choke, or prong collars are not permitted during adventures.

Scheduling

• For the best group dynamics, we recommend a consistent weekly schedule whenever possible.
